A spectacular pair of vintage drop earrings boasting two oval cut synthetic alexandrite’s with flowers sat above dotted with flat rose cut diamonds. The alexandrite’s weigh approx. 7ct each and have an enchanting sparkle and bold colouring with flashes of violet, pink, blue and red depending on the light.
Alexandrite is a rare variety of Chrysoberyl first discovered in Russia the early 19th Century and described as “Emerald by day, Ruby by night”, due to its ability to change colour under different lighting conditions. It can appear green, blue, red or purple and is believed to bring luck and prosperity to the wearer.
They’re an eye-catching pair and fashioned entirely in 14ct gold with secure lever back fittings at the back.
